Acupuncture, Chinese Medicine, Kinesiology & more

EMMA RICKARDS-TILLEY

Emma graduated, after studying for 4 years, from the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading, Berkshire, obtaining her degree in acupuncture. She then went on to train for a further year in paediatric acupuncture being taught by the world renowned paediatric acupuncturist Julian Scott. The college is one of the largest and most well respected colleges in the world providing an integrated approach to training where the strengths of both Traditional Chinese Medicine and Five Element Acupuncture is combined.

Emma first became interested in acupuncture after suffering for years with IBS. Western therapies had no effect so out of desperation she went to have acupuncture and was symptom free after the first treatment. After living abroad for several years and having her 4 children, Emma decided to leave her successful career as a veterinary nurse to pursue a career in Chinese Medicine.

Emma is passionate about treating babies and children. Having treated her own children with acupuncture she has seen first hand the amazing effects and believes that children can benefit greatly from having treatment for many childhood conditions. Emma also specialises in male and female fertility, pregnancy and the post-partum period.

Emma's training includes other techniques used in Chinese Medicine such as cupping, moxabustion, guasha, tuina, kinesiology taping, auricular and electro-acupuncture.

MANDY GODSELL

Mandy has a wide range of instructor experience and qualifications including Pilates, Yoga, Mindfulness Meditation, Nordic Walking, Nutrition Weight management and Personal Training. She also has higher industry specialist qualifications in Exercise Referral and Exercise for lower back pain.

Mandy has worked for over 30 years in the health and fitness industry including 7 years in Australia teaching swimming and Aqua fit.

Her passion is in holistic exercise with added emphasis on wellbeing where focus and time can be spent on rejuvenation and mental balance.

'My interest for this was triggered by my exercise referral background. I experienced first-hand how many people were sent by their GP with back pain and mental health issues for ‘exercise prescription’. I also discovered how incredibly successful Pilates, yoga and meditation was in helping these and many other issues, so I began to specialise more and more in this, and enjoy combining Pilates with yoga for a flowing restorative session which also develops core strength. More importantly I just love seeing the positive effect it has on people (including myself).'
